On Monday night (19.12) the National Institute for Empty Packaging Processing (InpEV) celebrated its 15 years of activity in environmental issues. The event that took place in São Paulo refers to the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Institute, which is now known worldwide and collects 94% from plastic packaging produced in Brazil.
inpEV acts as the intelligence nucleus of the Campo Limpo System in the activities involving the disposal of empty packaging of agricultural pesticides and promotes awareness and environmental education actions on the topic, as provided for in legislation. It is a non-profit institution formed by more than 100 companies and nine entities representing the sector's industry, distributors and farmers.
During the celebration, the President Director, João Cesar Rando received a tribute and raised awareness among everyone by talking about the importance of InpEV and its contribution to sustainability. Currently, this topic must be debated and taken into consideration, as living sustainably means seeking a state of balance in which everyone benefits. And this ranges from attitudes that directly involve the environment, such as recycling.
Founded on December 14, 2001, inpEV began operating in March 2002. Since then, the institute has integrated the various links in the chain, coordinates activities for the disposal of material and promotes awareness and education actions. InpEV's membership list comprises more than 100 companies and nine entities representing industry, distribution channels and farmers.
