States sue Trump administration over tariffs

Twelve U.S. states will ask a federal court on Wednesday to suspend tariffs announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on April 2, arguing that he violated his authority by declaring a national emergency to impose duties on imports. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Trade Court ruled in favor of the federal court on Wednesday that the tariffs were lifted.
