In another itinerary made by Aboissa, the unit Palm & Lauric Oils visited more than 10 palm oil production industries in Pará.
Because the palm plant is from a tropical region, it enabled oil palm cultivation to be successful in the Amazon biome. The state of Pará is the one that contributes most to national production – and has also been most impacted by the advancement of cultivation.
According to Abrapalma (Brazilian Association of Palm Oil Producers), more than 85% of production is concentrated in Pará. Brazil ranks 9th in world palm oil production.
