Soybean and soybean meal export premiums continue to rise in the Brazilian market, influenced by firm external demand, especially from China. According to Cepea researchers, the Asian country has intensified imports from Brazil, due to logistical problems in the infrastructure of the main grain flow channel in the United States (Mississippi Gulf Coast) caused by the recent hurricane passing through the region.

According to data from the Cepea newsletter, the low level of the Paraná River continues to harm Argentina's exports. Thus, for soybeans, export premiums operate at the highest nominal levels since November/18, at US$ 2.48/bushel last week. For soybean meal, premiums are at the highest levels since August/14, at US$ 52.00/short ton in the same period. Therefore, the “crush margin” of industries rose to US$ 18.24/ton in the weekly average (13 – 17). As a result, the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa Paranaguá, CEPEA/ESALQ Paraná Indicators and bran values have advanced in recent days. In the field, sowing began in parts of the South and Central-West. In the Southeast, producers are waiting for more voluminous rains to begin work.
