Commodity business falls on BM&FBovespa in November

136,908 futures and options contracts on commodity futures were traded on BM&FBovespa last November. The result represents a drop of 12.43% compared to the 156,330 futures and options contracts registered in October 2016. 

The number of corn contracts traded in the period was 72,301, including futures and options, compared to 69,307 in the previous month. Live cattle closed the period with a total of 41,174 contracts traded in November, compared to 62,970 in October. Type 4/5 Arabica coffee ended November with 14,409 contracts, while in October the total was 12,920. 

The soybean futures contract (CME) registered trading of 6,032 contracts in November, compared to 6,651 in the previous month. Hydrous ethanol registered 1,513 contracts traded, compared to 2,521 in October.

 

Agribusiness securities

In November, the stock of agribusiness bonds registered on BM&FBovespa totaled R$ 136.53 billion, compared to R$ 139.69 billion in October. The stock of LCA (Agribusiness Letter of Credit) totaled R$ 130.29 billion, compared to R$ 132.68 billion in the previous month.
