The warmer climate in the state of São Paulo has favored the demand for table oranges in recent days. According to Cepea employees, the outlook is that the scenario will remain favorable, as temperatures are expected to remain high. However, the drier climate has harmed the quality of the fruits in some regions, especially where the August rains were less intense, such as in Bebedouro.
In this week's partial (Monday to Thursday), pear oranges recorded an average of R$ 16.88/cx of 40.8 kg, on the tree, an increase of 1.4% compared to the previous period. For Tahiti acid lime, the scenario is also positive. In addition to the increase in domestic demand, the volume of fruits ready for harvest remains reduced, boosting prices. In the partial part of the week, the average price of Tahiti in São Paulo was R$ 61.17/cx of 27 kg, harvested, an increase of 41.3% compared to last week.
