Speculative purchases increase corn prices – Agrolink Analysis

The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded an increase of 1.75 cents in September/16 contracts on Thursday (18.08), closing at US$ 3.32 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions closed the session with gains of 1.75 and 2.75 points.

Another day of increases in the main prices of futures in the North American corn market, caused by speculation purchases. International demand also remains strong, but cereal exports came within the projections of market participants.
