February begins with a fast pace for beef shipments

According to information from the Federal Government's Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), released this Monday (07/02), exports of fresh, chilled or frozen beef began February at a rapid pace.

According to SAFRAS & Mercado analyst, Fernando Henrique Iglesias, the sector's performance is “excellent”, with China's shopping spirit dictating the pace of the market. “Prices are firm here in Brazil, a sign that slaughterhouses are racing to meet export contracts,” he said.

The revenue obtained from beef exports at the beginning of February, US$ 216,223.909, represents 46.6% of the amount obtained throughout February 2021, which was US$ 463,474.718. In the case of the volume shipped, the 39,656.283 tons are 38.8% of the total exported in February last year, an amount of 102,103.074 tons.

Average daily revenue until the end of the month was US$ 54,055.977, 109.94% more than February 2021. In comparison with the previous week, there was an increase of 55.9%.

In the case of tons per daily average, there were 9,914.070, there was an increase of 74.78% in comparison with the same month in 2021. When compared to the result in the previous week, there was an increase of 48.13%.

The price paid per ton, US$ 5,452.450 this February, is 20.12% 4539.282 compared to last February. The result, compared to the value reached in the previous week, represents an increase of 5.2%.
