Chicken has the first price increase in 2019

The live chicken market registered its first appreciation in 2019. On farms in São Paulo, the finished bird is priced, on average, at R$2.80 per kilo, up from R$0.05 per kilo, or 1.8% per week. Wholesale recovery in the period was 12.2%, with carcasses priced, on average, at R$4.43 per kilo.

Sales are flowing well, and as a result, buyers have been more active in recent days. For the next few days, the market remains confident and new valuations are not ruled out.
