FrigoVale implements reduction of 21.27% in slaughter price

FrigoVale Alagoas begins to implement the reduction of the slaughter tariff of 21.27% in the slaughterhouse as of this Thursday (30). The flexibility of the price of the service starts to work after the increase in inspection actions of clandestine slaughter and meets a demand from businessmen in the meat production chain.

The reduction will be applied to the previous value, R$ 94.02, going to R$ 74.02. For the meatpacking company's managing partner, Gustavo Machado, this is a way of demonstrating flexibility to improve commercial efforts within the company's reality.
“We are meeting a demand from traders in the Arapiraca region. But we are also reinforcing an important decision by FrigoVale to give credit to the inspection actions against illegal slaughter, which have been carried out by the competent bodies here in the rural region of Alagoas, such as Adeal, the Arapiraca City Hall, the City Council and the State Public Prosecutor's Office”, says Gustavo Machado.

According to the manager, the growth of illegal slaughtering undermines the entire structure of the meat production chain, in addition to harming the health of consumers. “This is a step forward for the health and well-being of the population. We believe that with the continued presence of regulatory agencies, illegal slaughtering can be eradicated. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the authorities who are leading these actions, curbing the clandestine nature of this service,” highlights Machado.

The Frigovale industrial park, located in the municipality of Arapiraca, has the capacity to slaughter up to ten thousand animals per month, including cattle, buffalo, goats and sheep, as well as pigs, and has an area of over 103 thousand square meters, with the potential to serve all municipalities in Alagoas.
