The limited supply of tallow and the high demand for the product have kept the market high, and contributed to the appreciations that have occurred in recent weeks. In Central Brazil, tallow increased by 2.1% compared to the previous week and is quoted at R$2.40/kg.
In Rio Grande do Sul tallow is also quoted at R$2.40/kg. Compared to the previous year, there was an increase of 41.2%. For the short and medium term, the outlook is for prices to remain firm. Highs are not ruled out.
