The 2019 AOCS Latin American Congress and Exhibition on Oils, Fats and Lipids will equip attendees with tools and solutions for improving efficiency, quality and safety in the fats and oils industry. Sessions are organized around eight tracks—including functionality in food, processing and refining, and quality control and analytical techniques—so that attendees can learn about novel research and technology in specific areas.
The Congress will be held on 8–11 October 2019 at the Bourbon Cataratas Convention & Spa Resort in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Presentations will be simultaneously presented in English, Português and Español. Online registration for the Congress ends on September 27.
Dr. Héctor Autino, Bunge South America & ASAGA, Argentina, will open the Congress by sharing insights into the production of grains, oilseeds, oils and by-products in an international context, with a focus on the Mercosur. He will also show characteristics and highlights of crushing plants with the highest production capacity.
In addition to technical sessions, the Congress will host 30 companies at the sold-out Exhibition. These companies represent the leading supplies and service providers in the industry. The Exhibition will be the center of networking at the Congress, with multiple events when attendees can visit with poster authors and connect with new colleagues.
For those looking to explore the local area, there will be an Iguaçu National Park Excursion with Macuco Safari Boat Tour on the last day of the Congress. The excursion includes a walking tour led by a local guide before heading down to the river for a thrilling boat ride through the Iguaçu Falls.
