China takes steps to ensure quality of products exported for epidemic prevention

China has taken steps to strengthen quality control over exports of medical supplies, receiving support from the country and abroad, announced on Sunday (27) the director of the foreign trade department of the Ministry of Commerce, Li Xingqian, informs the agency “ Xinhua ”.

The portfolio has worked with other government departments to crack down on exports of counterfeit and poor quality products and other behaviors that disrupt market and export order, he said at a news conference.

As of Saturday (25), 74 countries and regions and six international organizations had signed contracts with China to buy 192 batches of medical supplies, valued at US $ 1.41 billion.

Chinese exports of epidemic prevention supplies have increased significantly in recent months. Customs data showed that the value of these exports has reached 55 billion yuan ($ 7.77 billion) since last month.

The Chinese government has always provided assistance to the international community in various ways to combat the coronavirus epidemic, recalled Li, promising more efforts to ensure the quality of export of epidemic prevention materials.
