It is a by-product obtained through the process of grinding the shell of the cashew fruit. It is a product rich in phenols and due to this particularity, it can be used to produce resins replacing some petrochemical products, as well as being used in the formulation of some types of paints, manufacturing brake pads for automotive vehicles and as fuel for generation power.
