Bill 2044/22 authorizes transporter-resellers to mix diesel with biodiesel. In practice, Transport-Reseller-Retailer (TRR) companies will be able to purchase the products necessary for the operation. It is worth remembering that these companies are authorized by the National Petroleum Agency, a large part of the fuel is purchased in bulk.
Currently, TRR companies are not allowed to handle and compose fuels. If approved, the TRR will be able to purchase fuels for mixing from producing agents, marketing companies, distributors and importers. However, companies must follow the minimum security and operational capacity requirements.

Authored by republican deputy Herculano Passos, the bill will be conclusively analyzed by the Consumer Protection, Mines and Energy, Constitution and Justice and Citizenship committees. The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) establishes that the mandatory mixing content of biodiesel in fossil diesel oil is 10%.
The current resolution of the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) establishes that the mandatory blending content of biodiesel in fossil diesel oil is 10% for the year 2022.
