No fewer than 37 fungicides have had their recommendations for controlling the disease Asian rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) in soybean crops suspended. The decision was based on the conclusions of the Technical Commission for Agronomic Reevaluation of Registered Formulated Pesticides and Related Products, and was published this Wednesday (14.06) in the Official Gazette of the Union.

Mapa determined that holders of registration for these products will have a period of up to 120 days, from the date of publication of the Official Gazette of the Union, to exclude from the leaflets the recommendation for use to control Asian rust in soybean crops. This is the second list of suspensions published by Mapa this year, now reaching 100 withdrawn products.
