Soybeans fall with profit taking – Agrolink Analysis

The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 14.50 cents in the May/17 contract on Thursday (02.03), closing at US$ 10.3725 per bushel. The July/17 contract fell 14.25 US cents, while the August/17 contract depreciated 14.00 US dollar cents.

The North American soybean market recorded strong losses in the main futures prices, on a day when profits were made. This movement was already expected, since the increases recorded in recent days were the result of speculation in the macroeconomic scenario and were not related to the fundamentals of the oilseed.
