The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 1.50 cents in the May/17 contract on Friday (17.03), closing at US$ 10.00 per bushel. The July/17 contract also fell by 1.50 US cents – the same devaluation recorded by the August/17 contract.

The North American soybean market closed the week with slight drops in the main futures prices, maintaining the level of US$ 10 per bushel. The oilseed was supported by strong international demand – which translated into another week with good export numbers –, which has not yet been directed to South America.
