On the day of new reports from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), the climate is stable for soybeans in Chicago Stock Exchange. At around 7:20 am (Brasília time), prices were rising between 1.50 and 3.50 points, taking September to US$ 10.19 and November – the reference for the North American harvest – to US$ 10.28 per bushel.
In this sense, the market remains cautious and on the defensive. Agents await the arrival of updated area figures for the 2025/26 US harvest. Expectations, in turn, indicate a slight increase in both soybean and corn areas in the country.
The department also brings the update of quarterly stocks of soybeans, corn and wheat in the US as of June 1. And so, the bulletins could balance out, analysts and market consultants believe.
US harvests continue without concerns and market remains focused on climate and geopolitics
“So far, there is no reason to worry about American crops. This is generally a determining factor for future prices on the CBOT, where players are more eager to sell during potential rallies than to buy during lows,” explains Ginaldo Sousa, CEO of the Labhoro Group. “In terms of weather, June was a favorable month for American crops, which is why there are no concerns about productivity losses. Looking at the weather maps for June, rainfall levels were favorable for corn and soybean crops. Only the Dakotas received below-normal levels, although not as significant for crop reductions.”
In addition, weekly shipment data and monitoring of the North American harvest by the responsible body are also available.
At the same time, traders focus part of their attention on the macroeconomic and geopolitical scenario. The focus is on relations between China and the US. They also closely monitor developments involving the United States and other nations. In addition, they closely monitor ongoing global conflicts.
Finally, this Monday, in addition to soybeans, the oil market also operates with stability, testing slight drops in Brent and WTI.
